eerie....

There was a huge fire on our block of land.. we have 2 ships containers out their filled with a heap of our belongings and all the kids stuff.... but all is safe.. phew.. heres some shots i went out today to look at the damage.. all the kids swings out there melted.. our picnic area went .. out of 14 acres i think it would be safe to say there is fire damage to 10 acres of it.. it took 65 firefighters to control the blaze.. big thank you to all the firies... its amazing how brilliant they are at what they do... no houses in the estate were lost.. just a lot of bush trees and scrub went.. thank god we are not living out there just now.. its quite eerie to walk around ... heartbreaking to see the animals that didnt make it out... :(

I know the feeling Sandie from whent he firs went through here at our place - its like being on the moon. SO strange but thankgoodness you were so lucky. Its amazing to watch the tress recover with these brigth green sprouts of leaves bursting out - it makes you feel good and before you kow it, its all looking great and green again.

Oh no! That is really sad, Sandie! I'm so sorry to hear about the fire! :(

You're photos are great though!

Fire is so scary! The poor animals. It doesn't seem to take long though, I've noticed, before things get back to green again.

(hugs)
